CHAPTER 1 :The Excruciating details & THE INDOMITABLE FEMALES
“The indomitable always take the impossible task not because it’s interesting or it’s their innate nature but because that’s what made them indomitable in the first place
It was trillions &trillions of years before the Earth was habitable. Venus was a beautiful land filled with hidden secrets &creatures. Venus had four major continents the ISHTAR, APHRODICA, VYLONIA & THANAXIA. Ishtar was in the north, Aphrodica in the east, VYLONIA in the west, and THANAXIA in the south. People on Venus were called Venutions.
The Venutians are all females. Venus was a magical land lived & ruled by women who were powerful & empowered in all aspects. There were no males on the planet & they thought they were the only beings in the galaxy. The idea of any other gender was non-existent to them. An average Venutian lived for at least 100 years if not killed in war. The oldest Venutian’ age may go up to 250 years.
They were healthy people who were largely dependent on nature for food. Venus was a beautiful planet where the Kalindris lived in Aphrodica, the Ishtaricas in Ishtar, the Kyndraris in Vylonia, and the Vridaris in Thanaxia. There was a temple land called Celestia. This temple land belongs to Aphrodica’s goddess. The land was ruled by the queens & was called GYNASTRIES. Smaller islands had separate gynastries ruled by smaller clan leaders, but would be under any of the larger gynastries as allies.
In the beginning days of Venus, these lands were connected with each other by the great IANTHEAN Ocean in the centre. So, if one had to travel from one end to the other by land, one had to travel through all four major continents at some point. The sun rises in the west & sets in the east. The clans believed that the sun was one of the greatest Gods & so their temple was built in the west & the emperor of Venus should be in the east when the sun sets, so they believed they could guard the sun. It was their ancestors’ belief for thousands of years. This was another reason that the Kalindris in Aphrodica were considered superior, as they were regarded as the guardians of the sun.
The West is a place of worship & the East is the land of guardians. The Kalindris were a great group of females. They were a gorgeous, strong & fierce clan of people. Their glow added beauty to the planet Venus. They were extraordinary females who lived in harmony. They were a sophisticated clan that had several divisions for governance. The Zhathik were the guardians, fighters who guarded their emperor. They had the supreme power & authority next to their emperor, Kalimperia. Their authority was even above the advisory group to the emperor, called Lexarias, and the council members. The head of the Lexarias was Azirah. Lexarias advised the emperor in all her proceedings. Azirah always disliked Pyropeia because, although she was the head advisor, she often felt she was inferior to Pyropeia. The head of the Zhathik was Pyropeia. Zhathiks guarded their emperor for centuries. They were the most loyal beings that ever lived in the galaxy.
Pyropeia trained the zhathiks fiercely. Pyropeia was a disciplined, loyal, fierce leader. Pyropeia was 5’7 feet tall & had the body of a warrior. She had a phoenix eye shape and a pointed nose. Her hair had golden brown streaks in her predominantly black hair. It was short & braided as any warrior would have. She had a small ring piercing on her left eyebrow, with a small stone at its centre. It was gifted by her mother when she joined the queen’s guard. Her mother thought that the stone would protect Pyropeia & keep her safe. Though Pyropeia was never superstitious, she wore it in remembrance of her mother. When Pyropeia stares at someone, her brownish eye & the stone would complement her stern, cold look. She kept the zhathiks prepared for the epic battle as predicted by her ancestors.
There was a small group of priests called Kairosas. They could predict the future. They receive visions that are often very accurate, but there are instances where those visions might never have come true or would be completely different from what they thought. The Kairosas never travel. They stay in their temple of worship for their deity, Kairosiki. The head of Kairosas is Kairai, the oldest female on Venus, named after the deity. Kairai was so old that nobody knew her age. She had a wooden sceptre which was bent at the top. Many thought that it had magical powers & some would even touch it & pray for a long life when one visits the temple grounds to worship Kairosiki.
The legend of Kairosiki states that she was the first God & created this universe & guards it. Kairosas come from the various clans in Venus; they don’t belong to any gynastry, nor do they side with any clan. They are considered to be the divine beings on Venus. The land of the temple is called Celestia, which is far away from all the mainlands. Since the Kalindris gynastry emperor is considered the superior & the guardian of the sun, all proceedings go through the emperor of Kalindris, Kalimperia.
Kalindris had a rich culture. They took care of themselves & other clans. They were the most advanced beings. They had several groups & named them according to their professions, like melodaris (entertainers), sanatias (doctors), and paturias (fertile females). There were healers (Panaceas). Among these groups, the Paturias are the most protected group because they contribute to the population of the Kalindris. The paturias are the fertile females on land.
The Venutions, being all females, never knew or even considered that any other kind could exist. All the animals on Venus were females. They could procreate on their own. A Venutian female could bring a child into the world, all on her own, which would also be a girl. She doesn’t need a man to procreate. If they wish to give birth, they will drink half of a birthing portion made from the sap of the Tree of Life & wait for 14 days. Then would take their saliva on day 15 & place it in their birthing canal. They must wait for another 3 months to know if they are gifted with a child. They need to pee on the same birthing portion for it to turn pink. If it turns pink, then it means they are carrying a child, or else they will need to repeat the process again if they wish to. It would take 15 months for a child to be born.
A Paturia can be anything she wants. She can be a warrior, a teacher, an entertainer, anything she wants to be. After a certain age, a peculiar symbol appears on their right palm, which will determine their fate in the group. Each group has its own peculiar symbols. If the symbol of Kairosiki appears in red, then they will be the paturias of the royal family. For thousands of years, this has been passed down in the royal family. If the symbol of Kairosiki appears in blue, they will be the domestic paturias. The royal paturias give birth to the royal subjects. The domestic paturias form the people of the city.
Each paturia gives birth until a certain age & then stops. They will be the mother of her family. The mother is always the head of the family, no matter what. Even if the family has a knight who serves the queen, the head of the family will be the mother. It was the decision of the paturias to give birth. If they don’t wish to, they don’t need to. Nobody can force any paturia to give birth. It was a crime to force her. It’s a great honour to be a paturias because they were considered to be descended from their deity Kairosiki. The head of the paturias was the head of the clan & Kalimperia, the emperor was the head of the paturias in Aphrodica. So, paturias were a highly celebrated group & a loved group because most of them were children in that group. Until the symbol appears, the children will be with their mother. All four gynastries had these same groups in their clan.
In Venus, among all the gynastries, Aphrodica gynastry was a beautiful place. A country becomes as beautiful as the heart of its leader. Kalindris lived a harmonious life. The land & people of Aphrodica were different from others. Even they interpret their lives very differently from other gynastries. Importantly, about the symbols. Kalindris feel that the symbols, when they arise on their right palm, are an indication that they would be good at that specific thing, but it’s not a compulsion. If the symbol of melodaris appears, but later the child thinks that she doesn’t like to be a melodaris, she could be a sanatias, or she could be whatever she wants to be. The symbol was their birthright to be in a group, but Kalindris considered that one’s heart should decide where they have to be, rather than being selected or segregated by birth.
Kalindris females have always considered birth a miracle & respected it, but finding one’s purpose in life is even more miraculous. If a Kalindris female feels that she is not fulfilling her destiny or purpose in a group, she can join any other group & learn what she loves & fulfil her dreams & passion. Education was free in Aphrodica. One can learn as much as they want. Not even a queen can stop one from education. There was a set of rules for the emperor to rule Aphrodica. Certain rules are never to be broken & one among them was that if a girl wants to read & even if it costs the empire, it should be provided, no matter what.
There is a sacred book of Aphrodica, which was believed to have been written by the goddess Kairosiki herself. It contains the code of conduct for the emperor & people of Aphrodica. It’s called SOLAARA. It means the “Book of Light”. It was a four-volume book & each volume was placed on a lectern made of wood. The lectern had four pillars with a roof & it had a lamp hanging in the centre of the roof. The oil in the lamp would never go dry because the Kalindris believed that the day the light went out, the land of Aphrodica would lose its light & glory once & for all. It’s been burning bright for hundreds of years. All four volumes were on 4 different lecterns & were located on the top of the watch tower opposite to the emperor’s palace. It was guarded around the clock.
The pages of the book were made of metal & the words were engraved. Each volume had a different code of conduct & was written on 4 different metals. The one on the celestium metal was about the goddess &her magnificence. The one on Aurum(gold-like) Metal was about the code of conduct for the emperors. The one on Zabar(silver) Metal was about the code of conduct for people & their homes. The one on atacamite(copper) metal was about the code of conduct during war & peace. The Kalindris believed that the power & prosperity of the land came from these books. One could always see the light glowing in the watchtower.
There have been many attempts by different clans & even thieves to rob it because they believed that the one who acquires the books acquires the power of the gynastry. Other clans try to steal because they think that if the book leaves Aphrodica, then it will fall apart. There have been one or the other reasons Aphrodica has faced war & invasion attempts, because, among the four big gynastries, Aphrodica is the biggest, richest, & prosperous gynastry on all of Venus. Aphrodica is so vast that it is divided into west & east for governance & the west Aphrodica is vastly forested & mountainous.
The west Aphrodica forest has strange animals, and beautiful birds & there are many myths about the forest & mountain areas. It was believed that the cave people living in the forest had the capacity to transform into anyone they wanted. Another myth was that they possessed the ability to travel through time. The most chilling myth among them is that their soul can temporarily enter another human or anything that has life & manipulate them. The cave people are called the Zhogras.
The Zhogras have never allowed anyone to enter their territory, not even the emperor has been invited or allowed into their territory. Their territory, THE LAND OF CALYNDRIA, lies close to the sea of SOTERIA. The Zhogras have always been a mystery. The western Aphrodica is the most unexplored part of Venus & the myths it carries are numerous. On the other hand, the part of West Aphrodica that is not inhabited by Zhogras &the entire East Aphrodica is the most opulent part of Venus. It had the wealth that could buy the entire Venus along with its oceans.
It is a beautiful gynastry. It has the most fertile land, which harvests crops all year round. Aphrodica was a perfect land with a great leader. The Kalindris wore elegant dresses. Their merchandise was accompanied by metal coins, where celestium was the highest in value & only a few had those. The aurum stands second in value, the Zabar third & atacamite are the most used coins by the people. They used stones for their jewels. They used many metals which were peculiar & innate to Venus. The rarest & richest of them was celestium. It was the most guarded metal on Venus. The Kalindris believed that celestium had divine & magical powers. It was worn by the emperor Kalimperia & her daughters Kaida & Lumi.
Kalimperia was the most loved emperor of all time by her people. She was considered to be the most loving, caring, generous, yet the fiercest, emperor Kalindris had ever seen. She was called with love by her people as “The Magnanimous “. Kalimperia was 6 feet tall with the body of a warrior. She carried herself with any dress she wore. When Kalimperia wore the emperor’s imperial robe, which was all in aurum shade & sat on her majestic throne with crossed legs, she would look like the goddess herself with beautiful green eyes, sharp nose, her long black, neatly braided hair falling like a waterfall, caressing the front of her shoulder, one cannot clearly say if the throne or the emperor was more majestic.
The throne of Aphrodica is a thing of beauty. The throne was in majestic red colour & had the face of a fierce Kraken on the top with its spiked tentacles forming the backrest. The armrest, which was all in aurum, had the hands of the Kraken looking like it was holding the throne. The forehead of the Kraken had a celestium stone, which, when reflected by the sunlight that entered the throne room through the ceiling windows during midday, would lighten the entire throne room. Kalimperia sitting on this throne would paint the picture of their goddess. Every queen of other gynastry, at least once in their lifetime, would have dreamt of sitting on that throne. Her sceptre was all in blue & wrapping it was a Zabar(silver) serpent, a big white pearl on its top guarded by the smaller tentacles of the Kraken. The myth is that the sceptre was made of the Kraken’s bone when it was tamed & vouched its obedience to the Aphrodica gynastry.
Kali’s daughters always saw their mother in awe when she sat on the throne & attended her proceedings. Even as kids, Kaida & Lumi used to fight for a place on the throne when no one was around. Kaida & Lumi always doubted if they could be as half-efficient & majestic as Kalimperia. Sometimes Kali would engage in fights with the best of her warriors to see their mettle in combat. Kaida, though, was trained very well by Pyropeia. When she looked at Kali fighting, she would always feel amused. The precision with which Kali fights was always a thing of wonder for Kaida. Sometimes Lumi would whimsically tease Pyropeia in front of Kalimperia as to who would win a fight if they fought each other. Kali would immediately answer graciously that Pyropeia is a great, undefeated warrior, but everyone knows that Kali’s precision comes from her great fighting skills.
Kali always wanted both her daughters to become warriors & guard the land of Aphrodica. Though she was successful with Kaida by bringing out the warrior in her, Lumi, on the other hand, was the naughty little girl. She is still exploring & enjoying her childhood. All this power & responsibility doesn’t excite her. Kaida was the eldest & wisest, whereas Lumi was the fun, notorious & adventurous. Both got Kali’s beautiful green eye. One could easily tell that they were the daughters of the emperor because there was something different about those big, beautiful, green eyes. Kaida & Lumi would always ask their courtiers to dress their hair like their mother.
Kaida was as tall as Kali, but Lumi was tall for her age. Kaida’s attitude & behaviour always pointed to the fact that she would be the next emperor. Apart from sibling rivalry, both Kaida & Lumi loved each other. Everyone respected Kaida, but everyone loved Lumi. Lumi had friends everywhere. There was always a difference in how Kalindris reacted when Kaida & Lumi asked for a favour. When Kaida asked for something, people took it as an order & obeyed, but when Lumi asked for a favour, people would love to do it. There was always a smile, laughter, fun & life around Lumi. Kaida always envied that about Lumi, but she always knew that she couldn’t change it because she knew that people depended on Kaida, as she was going to be an emperor someday. That’s what power & responsibility do. It makes them aloof who have it & want it. Power & responsibility might look attractive, but it will lead you to a lonely life & one’s life can never be the same as it was. People depend on you. They expect from you. You can never make mistakes & if you do, it will affect the entire community that depends on you. Though you are always alone, you can never think only about yourself. The one in power will always be in a turmoil of thoughts, constantly bombarded between what’s important for you & your family & what’s important for the people who are dependent on you. Maybe that’s why people in power are always grumpy.
BUT WHAT UNIVERSE HAS IN STORE FOR THE FUN & ADVENTUROUS IS FAR MORE INTERESTING & SOMETIMES TERRIFYING TO KNOW!!
